ROYAL ARTS FENCING ACADEMY is a proud host club of the Arnold Fencing Classic - largest fencing show/competition in US! In 2009 the Arnold Fencing Classic held the Regional Youth Circuit with an international youth fencers invited and, the first in fencing history of US-FIE Men's Epee Senior Satellite Tournament! Y10 Epee: Ben Kanas - Silver medal, Jesse Steinman - Bronze medal, Josh Moraine - 5th place, Leah Stevenson - 7th place Y10 Foil: Justin Galant - Bronze medal Sofia Simontov - 7th place Justin Herman - Silver medal. Justin was born as a fencer at the Royal Arts and still proudly points the Royal Arts as his fencing club. Justin has moved to Florida and fencing at the Masters FC. ____ Ben Kanas - 9th place Kyle Holman - 17th place Y12 Epee: Frank Ditullio - 12th place David Brown - 18th place Jesse Steinman - 19th place Judah Stein - 20th place Leah Stevenson - 21th place Y12 Foil: Justin Galant - 14th place Lilia Chesser - 15th place Ben Kanas - 17th place Nick Holman - 20th place Zachary Polinsky - 22th place Y14 Epee: Ben Bowen - 12th place Peri McDougle - 27th place Y14 Foil: Taylor McIntyre - Silver Medal Aaron Hutchison - Bronze Medal Garret Turley - 7th place _____ Adam Ungar - 19th place Nick Holman - 21th place Elliot Nick - 22nd place Royal Arts Fencers that placed in the top 8 of their events, have received their medals and awards from the US Olympic Medalists of Beijing: Mariel Zagunis - Gold(individual) Bronze (team), Sada Jacobson - Silver (individual) Bronze (team), Hanna Thompson - Silver (team), Erinn Smart - Silver (team), Keeth Smart - Silver (team). This highest level International Fencing event was organized and held by the Staff and parents of the Royal Arts! Absolutely incredible team work of a big group of the Royal Arts volunteers have brought US fencing to the highly recognized international level! This Royal Arts amazing achievement is a result of work, generously provided by: Diane Masterson, Sonja Hutchison, John Hutchison, Anne Beckwith, Eric Beckwith, Hillary Warren, Teresa McIntyre, Suzy Nick, Mark Ditullio, John Wallace, Doug Bliss, Ingrid Biederman, Jon Dunkin, Patrick Hayden, Mike Galant, Anatolii Verulskii, Julia Turley, Joel Cook and many families of the Royal Arts fencers. For Summer Fencing Camps please visit Tournaments page. NEW TO FENCING? If you desided to try a unique sport that is not age specific,where effort leads to results, that teaches strategy, physical, mental and psychological life skills and self-control, with an unlimited learning potential -or- just simply got tired of boring workout routine and looking for something fun, fitness and stress releaving than FENCING IS RIGHT FOR YOU! We offer an Introduction Classes for youth and adults every week. To register please email : office@royalarts.org indicating your name, age, phone number and when would you like to start your first INTRO-Class (please see schedule) Six class/session INTRO-programs are held in the Gym of the Columbus Jewish Day School that located in New Albany, Ohio. Cost is $75 for session. Equipment provided. We are excited to share our Love to the amazing sport of fencing with you and your children!
